Released! Our latest issue out now!
Dear readers, this is your captain speaking, Angela Gotborn, Editor in Chief. Hope you all are comfortably and that you are ready for some inspiration! Plump up the cushion behind your back, pour yourself a cup of tea, polish your glasses, here we go!
Shortly after take-off, we visit a company that made the old rag rug trendy. Old technology in a new design! Then we immediately are thrown into a world full of playful patterns in bright pastels. I see a new star in the design world; check out Sophie Webster’s playful design!
We continue with theme colours, where there is one colour shining a bit brighter, I’m talking about Tiffany’s blue colour. Want to learn more about its history, I recommend you to slow down the pace and stay a while on this section.
Did I hear someone say shopping? A new dress or a pair of ruby sprinkled snakes to adorn your ears with. A spotty chair, a new bag to hang on the arm, or maybe a different wallpaper with blue and white porcelain. There are lots of great shopping tips!
Phew, shopping can you wear you out, time to slow down. We visit Biscuteers. It’s cookie-art at the highest level, as sweet as it can be. The only limit is your imagination. If you want to eat a shoe, it’s as good as taking a bite of the Eiffel Tower.
Brush off the crumbs and prepare yourselves for some crafts. It’s time for some work of art; small squares of paper, a linked bracelet with pearls, gold rondelles and tiny sapphires. I say let’s create! For those who are not keen on crafts, there are of course more shopping tips; beautiful lamps, pens, notebooks and a few golden pineapples. u
Now I think that all of you will agree with me that we could use a much needed break before continuing our journey. We all need time to recover, time to reflect, time to relax, it’s time for bath! We visit a Nordic bath and one Turkish bath. Would you rather do a home spa, then you must not miss our pages with selected products for the bath.
Now that we have rested, we can continue our journey. Is it just me starting to feel hungry? How about some exquisite meals at the fabulous department store Fortnum & Mason in London? Would you prefer to cook your own meal, I can highly recommend one of our salads. By the way, if you want to stay a while here in London, maybe renting a super stylish apartment is the thing for you; we visit one in Chelsea, West London. Would you prefer to travel further, perhaps to New York, you should peek into two iconic design suites, Dior suite and Tiffany suite at St. Regis hotel. Enjoy and get inspired! Welcome to the new and improved Fine Decor Magazine!
